The journey begins
My daughters PIR was on 16 Dec., we attended and it was considerably different than I remember of my own PIR (08/75). The base was entirely different as well, with new barracks, drill halls, chapel, etc... Her PIR was small with only 416 graduates. Her group also had a week less boot camp than normal, I guess so they didn't graduate on either the Christmas or New Year weekends. My daughter at her final swearing in. She is now in her 6th week of boot camp. After boot camp she goes to MA A-School.

The Navy sure has a way of changing people. My wife and I are often heard saying, "Who are you and what have you done with our daughter?" after she says something so unexpected just a short couple of years ago before she went off to boot camp.
