Amen Fishdad, God even hears our heart, every little skip beat, when we hear bad news or fear for someone......I also would fly to TX if I could, I just need to hold the young man!  my daughter made the comment....Mom we all believe and feel your prayers, so dont' EVER stop, just need to say.....(long pause, to get ahold of her emotions) Still there is nothing like a mom's hug, nothing can replace it, not an aunt's nor a friends.  of course I cried, she is right.  She's lost alot of aunts, uncles and high school friends since leaving for the Navy, never got to come home.....she has known loss and been alone, (NOT like Sean) needed that hug and couldn't get it.....makes me very sad.

Blondie,

Thanks for letting us know. We'll be praying. We've asked our church to be praying too. I cannot imagine what he is going through. Wish I could find a way to go and help Sean somehow.

And Cora,

Been thinking about you and praying for you as well as your friend and her family. Life can be so difficult and we've well learned over these past couple of months that there are just some things that we cannot do on our own. But with God's strength, and those around us who choose to be His hands and His feet, we can get through and even become stronger through it.

I just want to encourage all of you to keep praying. Having been on the receiving end of your prayers, I can tell you, they DO make a difference. Every utterance made on someones behalf to God...it does make a difference.

God bless.

Robin

Since I cannot drink at work nor travel to TX, I suggest Mon. at 2:00 we have a minute of Silence and be one with Sean sending our Love, Support and Strength. .

Comment by AngiePNMx2 15 hours ago REYNOLDS UPDATE (9/15/11):

I just finished speaking with the church and funeral has been set for

MONDAY, SEPT 19 at 2:00pm

Emmanuel Baptist Church, 307 Elm Street - Pittsburg, TX 75686

903-856-3411

They are still working on the arrangements for a meal after the service. The secretary will call me tomorrow letting me know if/how we can help.

I also spoke with Sean's uncle. He was at work and unable to talk, but promised to call me back this evening or tomorrow. He did say that there was insurance and Sean will have some financial stability. There IS a place where monetary contributions can be sent, but he did not have that information with him. I'll get that when he calls me.

He did say that Sean is still in shock. He also told me his OWN son is a sailor, who is crushed by this because he has no brothers, so Sean and Joachim were like his brothers, "living" at each other's houses as close cousins do. His son is upset because (not being "immediate" family) he must return to ship in two days, unable to be at the funeral.

He also wants to assure everyone that Sean has a strong, supportive family and will be shepherded through the overwhelming months (years?) ahead of him. He was grateful to hear of everyone's prayers and sympathies.

Please hold onto any checks or donations for just a little while longer, until we know the best place to send them. I know we want to show him how loved he is, but we also want to make this time as easy for him as possible. Thank you again for letting me help with this, and for your compassionate hearts.

Prayers going up for everyone.  I'm sure she will be missed. but celebrate her life and her going home to Heaven, where she will be out of pain and living with our Lord and Savior!  I still miss my Mom to this day (been gone 5 years) but would never wish her back here to her suffering.  Asking God to watch over her family and to allow them the time to say good-bye.

Cora it is hard not to cry over your post.  Instead, I bowed my head and prayed to the Father, for the woman, for her children for her husband.  We cannot take away their pain, but we can give our prayers and I trust God is with her and with her family.  I also pray for you and the pain you are feeling for your dear friend and for the loss you know will come.  Peace of the Lord be with you.

just a thought:

Maybe the biggest problem facing America today is not terrorism, the poor economy, or the national debt...maybe it's that we've forgotten the "United" part that comes before America. The prevailing attitude of "I've got mine and that's all that matters" has to change. We are not independent individuals, we are an interdependent nation.

while praying for Sean, a sailor who lost his family last friday on their way to homecoming....I was informed he lost his GF in a car accident this passt Christmas Eve.  May God's mercy and love rest upon him and give him peace.
