I continue to pray for Heath daily. There is nothing worse than having you child (adult sailor or not) ill and far from home. I have been there and done that several years ago. God will continue to help you and your family.

Thank you for the support of my son Justen. Our sailors will always be our babies.

The flood cleanup here in Northeast Pennsylvania continues. I am so blessed as to not have had my home flooded. My church and our Boy Scout Troop are working hard to recover.

Robin, I will continue my daily prayers for Heath. Today I will make a day of frequent Prayers and Blessings. Please let "Grandma" know we always include her as she is an important part of your family. God Bless you all and help keep Heath safe and close to him today and always.

Heath is scheduled to report at 8:00 p.m. tonight for surgery. His FRG president as well as the Hospital Chaplain will be with him through the surgery and then we have another friend that will be checking in on him after he gets off work.

Please pray that this surgery is a success and takes care of the problem once and for all. Pray too that he wouldn't be nervous and that he wouldn't experience a lot pain.

We're almost done with this! Thank you all for being 'beside us' through it all. Knowing that you all are praying for him gives us peace of mind.

Well, we are fast approaching surgery time. We haven't gotten an exact time yet but we're expecting to hear sometime overnight from Heath about it. We'll be sure to let you know when he is going in. I'm sure that he's just a little anxious, although he wouldn't let me know that. I'll post surgery time in the morning. This mom would appreciate your prayers for her nerves. I need to remind myself of all of the wonderful ways God has already shown himself in this situation. Sleep well Navy Dads, Moms, Grandmas, Grandads, Wives...etc....

Crystal,

We are so very glad to hear that Justens stress test came back good. We'll be praying about the asthma and the flooding. The eastern part of Pa got his hard this past week as well. We have friends heading that way right now to do some relief work with Samaritans Purse.

did anyone else see this, posted by the pacific command.

and a prayer my sister sent me.

Now I lay me down to sleep...one less terrorist this world does keep...with all my heart I give my thanks...to those in uniform regardless of ranks...you serve our country and serve it well...with humble hearts your stories tell...so as I rest my weary eyes...while freedom rings our flag still flies...you give your all, do what you must...with God we live and God we trust.

Thanks Robin, I thought you told me tue. but with the long weekend and things going on I wanted to make sure I was giving our the correct information, I'll pass the word for Prayers to commence until further notice.  That way he is covered in prayers 24/7 (from around the world).  God's Peace be with you and Hubby.

Crystal, glad to hear everything is worked out, what a scare for you.  Hugs my friend.

Justen's stress test was good. Has exercise induced asthma and was given an inhaler. We are ok no flooding at our house. But our little town has a lot of damage.

Hello Blondie,

Heath is doing well. He's had a good week. The weekend before last he had ended up back in the hospital with some problems. They ran tests and the doctor told him a week ago that the appendix looks as though it's gearing up for a second round. So, rather than wait the original 8 weeks or so to remove it, he is going in tomorrow night to take it out. He's going to have to do it the old fashioned way and open him up. The recovery time will be longer, but he wants to make sure to get it done right. We're praying that there are no complications and no surprises when they get in there. We're unsure whether the original concern about the inflammation from the strep infection is still an issue or not as I haven't been able to talk with the doctor. We do have several friends as well as the Hospital Chaplain that will be there with Heath for the surgery and two families have offered to have Heath stay with them while he recovers. So, we are coveting everyones prayers for Tuesday evening/night (we're unsure as to the time just yet) for Heath as well as over this next week while he recovers. I'll get on and let you all know once we hear from the doctor post surgery.

Thank you once again everyone for your faithfulness in lifting him up.

My husband and I will be praying for the Sailor from the Ronald Reagan. I can't imagine the grief, but I know that God can help.

Hope you are all having a good Monday.

God bless,

Robin
