Rick,

Thanks for the update on Tom. He's been on my heart a lot. I'll be praying that the doctors can find that port tomorrow. I'll be praying for you as well about work. Thank you for the encouragement on Heath. I know that I'll just breath a lot easier once the appendix is out.

And yes, praying  for rain in Texas. We had a friend affected by this wild fire. It's just been horrible.

Lots going on for everyone.  Keeping Heath in prayers that he will be set for surgery as planned and that troublesome appendix can be removed and his health restored.  Keeping Tom in prayers and blondie.  Hope you day has gone as smoothly as it can with all you have on your plate.  Hopefully the cooler weather is keeping everyone with an even temper.  Prayers will continue for all of you...

Fishdad, that is good they can finally get that thing out of there. I will pray he recovers well and gets some weight put back on. You guys and him deserve a break from what you have been through. I hope having his appendix out will make him feel better too. Prayers for all of you.

Today hasn't started good, but the Lord has a plan......wish he would have warned me. lol  our new government manditory program was suppose to be put in on thur (the office is closed) but they are here now!  I'm trying to run the office which is busy busy we took yesterday (a 12 hour day ) off  so lots of patients today, I have a visiting Doctor in today seeing patients.......Just pray for my sanity. please. havent seen the sun since saturday when it was 118 degress and 140 heat index, then yesterday our high was 65!  this weather is crazy!

Blondie,

They've discharged him. He will go in next Wednesday (our Tuesday night) to have it removed. The Doc said that he's actually lost weight since I left. He's back down to 122. And the appendix is behaving like it wants to act up again. He will go in the old fashioned way because it will be safer for Heath and also so the doctor can better address any issues that may arise during the surgery. They'll keep him in the hospital for a day and then send him on his way. They expect him to recover quickly from this surgery. We are praying that he will rebound very quickly once this nasty appendix is out of him. It will still be quite a while before he can come home. All kinds of paper work and regulations..you know..Navy. We do have a friend who will be with him for the surgery (his ships FRG president), so that helps. It's good to know he won't wake up alone.

Your daughter certainly needs a break, doesn't she? I hope that this week goes better for her than the last. And yes, we're in prayer for the new Admiral as well. He will have a lot on his plate.

God bless Blondie. Hope you're having a great day and are able to dodge some of this rain.

Amen, to all those prayers here and in our hearts.

Fishdad, I'm sorry to hear he's back in the hospital, Pray all things are okay for now.  Which hospital?  daughter was locked down on ship all weekend, we got to skype her yesterday, New Admiral today, praying ceremony goes without a hitch and the new command has a long and successsful run. after today things should settle down and she should go on a regular 3-2-2-3....schedule not sure if she's on days or nights tho too much to catch-up on, I 've lost track.  I know she said she'd try and call next weekend, I can send her a e-mail tho.

I'll get the pray chain going again now!  HUGS

Heaths surgery is next Tuesday. The doc said that his appendix is still "irritated" so they will have to go in and remove it the old fashioned way. A bigger scar and more recovery time, but the Doc feels it's the safest way to do it. Please pray that the appendix calms down before the surgery and that all goes well. We will feel so much better once it's out. Just wish we could be with him. Thanks everyone.

Dear Lord,   Thank you for Terry and his wisdom to set up this group, thank you also for people like Cora, Blondie and Crystal.  I am sure you are busy helping as many of us at home as you do to those in service of our country.  Is is indeed amazing to see your work done in this forum.  Perhaps we should change the name to God in 'Action, because anybody that follows this group can have no doubt that you are the God of Mercy and the God of all people.  Continue to comfort those that are at home and away through your faithful servants. In the name of your Son I pray these things.  Amen
