"The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." - Zephaniah 3:17
"I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness." - Jeremiah 31:3
It's amazing when you realize that God loves you more than you can even fathom. Our mere human minds can't grasp just how much He loves and cares for you. It's easy to forget that, but just keep your eyes on Him and everything will be okay =) God bless!
God always provides what we need, but we must be ready to open our eyes and see it.

Even Socrates, who lived a very frugal and simple life, loved to go to the market. When his students asked about this, he replied, "I love to go and see all the things I am happy without."

sorry, I've been absent, terrible storm wed. night and thru morning here, lost electricity, then had to drive 2 hours away to do training in another's doctor's office for our EHR program here in Ohio. But you were never far from my thoughts, while cleaning up yard, mowing, picking garden etc... last night I was praying constantly, that's the great thing about mindless work. LOL
SO GLAD to hear Heath is improving, how was your visit with Sue? Hugs to all. still no word from sailor, they are busy right now.
so happy to hear Tom and Heath are doing better. Praise God for that.
Then spoke Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." - John 8:12
Glad to hear that Tom is home. There's no place like home.
We had a good day yesterday. Took the train to Kamakura (about a 20 minute train ride north). It's a lovely little town with alot of little shops and restaurants and quite a few shrines. We had sweet potato & green tea ice cream and then my son convinced me to go the to the "Sushi-go-round" restaurant & have my first "real" sushi. It was delicious. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will.
As good as the day was, it tooks it's toll on Heath. It was a bit too much walking for him. Today, we go to get his barracks room changed. So, please pray that we can get him into a room that conducive to healing over these next two surgeries. We're trying to get everything done before I have to head back home. We'll be stopping by the hospital and I hope to check in with the Doc. He has an open door policy if we have any questions or if we need anything.
Rick, we will continue to keep Tom and the family in our prayers. Let him know that we're praying.
Hope you all have a great night.

"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." - Psalm 147:3
Praise be to God! He must be doing well indeed.
Praise be to God, everyone is safe. Yes, we felt it here in northern Ohio too, no damage well, maybe to our water table but we've dealt with that before.
Rick, I am so happy your son is enjoying navy life and nlooking forward to his first assignment. Also good to here Tom's still in good spirits hoping he gets to go home soon, you always feel better and heal faster at home.
Fishdad, hope your daughter and SIL were okay. Good to hear Heath is getting out and about, helps with his spirit i'm sure. Ask his shipmates or go to the gym, I'm sure they would help you move him. they have a special room for singles.....I wish my daughter's ship were in, they'd have him moved in no time. God will provide......
thanks all for the prayers and well wishes. I'll let you know when I hear from her.
As always prayers going up for all our prayer warriors and their families.
Imagine our surprise at waking to the news of an earthquake back home. I imagine it has frayed a few nerves. They don't pay alot of attention to them here..can't tell you how many we've had since I've arrived. But they are prepared for them and used to them...not so much on the East Coast. Praying for everyone involved.
I'm glad to hear that Tom is in good spirits...God bless him. Praying that the doctors are able to take care of the stint situation quickly and efficiently. How will they do the dialysis? Will he have to go in daily? And are they looking for another kidney?
Blondie, praying for your daughter. Can't wait til you can see her smiling face as well. Hope that it's soon.
Heath is getting up and about a good deal. We've been out in town a few times...never more than a few blocks, but we're getting out. We're hoping to do some things today, but he has woken up pretty sore. We're working really hard on getting some weight back on him.As far as where he will be staying, we're unsure as of now. He was released from his ship...so we have to move him to another barracks. Not sure where that will be. We will have a busy few days ahead of us. I'm going to be spending the next few trying to round up some folks to help us move him.
Rick, I'm so glad to hear that your Sailor is doing well and is enjoying A School.
Just hearing that VA had a 4.2 aftershock...I'm going to go see how my daughter and so-in-laws nerves are doing.
Take care everyone.
Well, Andy says he is safe thus far in Portsmouth, VA area. He says all tunnels are closed till they are checked for earthquake damage. Said it's like a zoo as they also prepare to batten down the hatches, subs, ships, boats and cranes in case of the hurricane. He hasn't made it home yet (thank goodness he's on the proper side of the tunnel and doesn't have to travel through one for his sub in dry dock.)
