"Be still and know that I am God." -Psalms 46:10

Heavenly Father, Please fill me with your strength and wisdom, teach me Your ways. Be my thoughts, words and actions today. less of me and more of You. Amen

A fellow Youth Minister sent me this:

I don't give up. I don't quit. I know it's worth it. I fight because I believe this world is still God's and it always will be. Don't let your fire burn out because somewhere somebody needs a reason to believe...

from a song: "So I won't give up, no I won't break down, sooner than it seems life turns around, and I will be strong, even if it all goes wrong, when I'm standing in the dark I'll still believe, someone's watching over me. "

gotta love this guy. anyone know the song he is talking about?

Father God, I am sorry for all of the times that I've become to busy to recognize all of the wonderful blessings from You.  Please forgive me.  Please allow me the strength and wisdom to face mt trials in life.  Guide me along my journey with You, and help our relationship become one that will be cherished into everlasting life in heaven. Amen

My heart is with you all, prayers going up.

need to ask for a few prayers myself....My daughter had a run in with coral at the great reef, the coral won.  Father protect her from infection and heal her body. hold her in your arms, she is hurting with all the others involved with or on the USS Boxer.

Also keep my adopted son and grand-daughter in your prayers.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds." James 1:2

"....because you know that testing your faith developes perserverence.  Perseveranve must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." James 1:3-4

Psalm 119: 89-92

Your word, LORD, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.
Your faithfulness continues through all generations;
you established the earth, and it endures.
Your laws endure to this day,
for all things serve you.
If your law had not been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.

Heavenly God, I pray to you for every parents of every service personnel of the Navy and every other military branch, most especially for all the wounded, injured and sick Service men and women, keep them under your shining light as we pray to you for their fast recovery, Lord, for the once that are lost at sea, help with the recovery so that the family may find peace. Amen

Rick, I am keeping Tom in my prayers. I so understand the urgency and the sense of helplessness that you are feeling. But know that God is capable and that He is a kind and loving God and I pray that Tom feels His presence.

I am also keeping Joe and his family in my deepest of prayers.

I arrived in Yokosuka late last night after 20 hours of travel. Made it in time to get into the ambulance with my son as they transported him to the hospital out in town for another surgery to replace the tube to drain the abscess. We found out Saturday am. that the original tube wasn't working. Please pray that this surgery was a success and that they are able to drain the infection. If not, the next step will be surgery to open him up to remove the abscess and they really don't want to do that if at all possible. He's lost alot of weight and he's very weak and in alot of pain but it's good for both of our souls to be together. I can't even begin to tell about how good everyone has been to us. God is good and He is faithful and He is answering prayer. Thank you so much!

Dear God

Please continue to be with Tom's medical care team as they keep his body from rejecting his new kidney.  Help them find the right medicines to keep this transplant working.  Surround Tom and Rick's families as they care to his love.

Keep Joe's family surrounded with your love and your strength as our sailor remains one of your faithful sheep.

Amen
