Edward, thanks for the encouragement from your son.  We know that this is an exciting time for our son and will trust that God has put him in this place for a definate purpose.

God bless you and yours!

Our son left for boot camp June 21st and we had the same concerns. The first night in the hotel he made several friends and even texted me they were having alot of laughs @ the airport and hoped to be in boot camp together. We continue to pray for him. Have faith in the Lord and i'm sure your son will be fine.

Hello,  I have my son heading off to boot camp July 7th and this is our first experience with this so my prayer is that he finds another like minded friend or two that has the same faith, etc.  If there is any comments, ideas on how my kid can establish himself in a positive way, please let me know.  Again, we are all new to this.

At the request of a Facebook friend -We are asking everyone to say a prayer for the US "Darkhorse" 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and their families. They are fighting it out in Afghanistan and have lost 9 Marines in 4 days. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE IT ON EVERYONE'S PAGE... ......Even if it's only for an hour, come on guys... show your support! I am HONORED to re-post this! Thank you to "OUR" Service men and women.

If you woke up this morning, you have another day to make a difference in someone's life. Then praise God for giving you that opportunity

A 15 year old girl holds hands with her 1 year old son. People call her a slut. No one knows she was raped at 13. People call a girl fat. No one knows she has a serious disease which causes her to be over weight. People call an old man ugly. No one knows he had a serious injury to his face while fighting for our country in the war.

Prayers and thoughts go out to all those needing help and comfort.  Dear Lord please help these people whereever they are. May we all remember that it is through your son Jesus Christ that we may all, in the end be with you in your kingdom.  Amen

On this day, God wants you to know
... that the greatest happiness in life is knowing that you are loved for who you are, and sometimes in spite of who you are. Give this happiness to your family, to your friends, to your neighbors...

Fellow Soldiers pay tribute to fallen comrade in Afghanistan
‘For me to die for my country, to live is Christ and to die is gain.’ That’s what he believed.”

On this day, God wants you to know
... that if you feel too busy, you are. Give yourself permission to be un-busy. Give yourself an hour or a day to simply be. Allow yourself the luxury of a small retreat. Allow your spirit time to be restored. Even God took a day of rest...
