Albert,

I am in prayer for your son John and for his momma. It was a year ago that we went through Boot Camp....longest few months of our lives. Let me assure you that he is being taken care of. And he is safe. But I will be praying for peace for your hearts and strength for John.

fishdad, thanks for the info.!

Dick, praising God for his safe return, my daughter was there for 2 ears so I know how you must be feeling.  Praying God gives you time with him. Singing God's Praises.

Timothy and Albert, I thank God everyday for our Brave men and women and ask that he protect them and give them strength and Faith. Timothy for Christmas, I gave my daughter/sailor a plaque that says, Home is where your story begins.  she was spouts of homesickness and worries about us getting older and worring about her.......funny how our roles reverse. But our jobs were to raise them and to teach them Faith and now we get to see what they make of their lives, We couldn't be PROUDER! Abert asking God o have Mercy on You and his Mother, Faith will get you through.

Albert, my prayers are lifted up for all our families going through bootcamp and deployments.

If John's Mom is having trouble coping, be sure she is on our N4M.  I'm on the Prayer Wall there as well as Emptynesters.  Or, she can just visit my page (carols_kitchen) if she needs to chat.

God,

Please be with our your men and women as they start their new journeys in our United States military lives.  Protect them as they are broken down to be rebuilt.  Assure their families that they will be kept safe, encouraged as they "grow up" yet know that personalities we love are kept intact. Let the families know they can safely reach out to us for support.  Amen

My son John left for Boot Camp 10 days ago. No word from him yet. I ask for prayer for him AND his mother's broken heart. We pray every day for him.

So glad to hear that your son is back in the good old USA! Enjoy every second with him. Thank you for the sacrifice you've made in allowing him the time to serve Dick. And we echo your prayer of thanksgiving and for continued safety.

My son just back in the USA safely after a deployment.  Maybe we'll get to see him for the first time in two years. It was great to hear his voice after months of facebook and i pads.  Thank the Lord who has watched over his group overseas, continue to watch over all of those in harms way and those in safe harbors.

For anyone who might be interested. There is a company called Faith Comes by Hearing that has Bible Sticks. They are MP3s with the New Testament pre-loaded onto them. You can purchase a regular Bible Stick (white) for $20 and mail it to your Sailor. Or, if you would like to make a donation to Faith Comes by Hearing, they will mail one to a member of the Military ( a black one - not as easy to see) to a member of the Military along with a postcard that the troop can send in to have a Kids Bible Stick sent to one of their children here in the States. Check them out on faithcomesbyhearing.com. They are about the size of a pack of gum, come with batteries and earbuds and are dramatized. Our church has just purchase 400 of them to mail to our troops and their units/divisions, etc... It's a great way to encourage our guys and gals.

Steve, love your statement, I agree 100%. Praying all our governments see the workd through christ' eyes, and may they react in a Christian way.  God's love is in abundance is stretches the globe, we only have to accept it and spread it along.  May we all be insturments of his Glory. and realize our words do speak valumes!  Love should be an action not just a word or feeling. peace to all the earth. May God's Kingdom reign. amen
