Dear Heavenly Father, Grant us our requests we beseach you. Give comfort to all sailors and fathers seperated from one another on this special day. Grant them the peace and joy they need to continue on their journeys. Make each day be fathers day in their hearts as they honor eachother. Thank you for this wonderful day and all our families. Amen

Our gracious father, grant to our sons and daughters continued inspiration and love for their service. Grant that they by their skills and vocation keep themselves and their fellows safe, and bring each other home. Grant that they find the strength to grow in their given specialties that they be able to work together for the common good.

I pray for a new birth of real patriotism, based in the principles revealed to us in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7,13, where love truly extends to all, especially those with whom we disagree; where we all support our friends and children serving in a just cause, and where our personal desires take second place to their needs.

Lord, I pray for this nation. It seems that good is being called evil and evil good by many. I am thankful for this nation I live called America. You have blessed us beyond measure but I see a nation turning from being obiedient to your commandments. I know that your word says in II Chronicles 7 :14 If we humble ourselves, pray and turn from our wicked ways then you will hear from heaven and forgive and heal our land. Prayer for our leaders to remember that you are God almighty and to submit to your authority. Prayer for protection of our servicemen and women. May they and all know you in a personal way. May we not turn from you and be obedient to your word in every walk of life. May we not fall to political correctness to please a few yet ultimatley compromise and cause an entire nation to fall. God bless America

Lord, I pray that you step in and show us your might. Give us the courage to stand up against those that want you out of schools and public places. Take care of our soldiers and sailors as they are there so you can be there too. We our a country that was founded by people that left their homeland to have the right to worship and praise you. Lord, give me the power, drive and fortitude to carry your banner now and until you call me home. Amen

I finally heard from Valerie at OCS in Quantico, that she is part of Charlie Company 1st Platoon. She has been working with some of the girls who are having trouble adjusting to the unique enviornment. Val has some experience from last year before she broke her leg. She is also leading them in worship songs. So far so good. I know they love to get mail, so I will be sending letters of encouragement regularly. Please pray for her leg to hold up during the grueling 10 week program, and allow her to meet the physical and mental demands of becoming a US Marine officer.
