Timothy,
Thank you. I fully agree. I am 61 years old, and I can say that without doubt every one of my valid prayers (I exclude prayers for a pony, and maybe even that one) have been answered, and most of them have been granted. Not necessarilly in my time, possibly not imediately, but granted, even the most impossible ones.
The challenge is to be awake and aware, and to make it a habit to continuously praise and give thanks. It's practice. By Grace, we participate in opening ourselves to the presence of God, and we make ourself willing to ask for and accept help.

Dear Heavenly Father, It has been a long rough day. Thank you for answering my prayers and leaving my sister here on earth with us. Protect all our military. Keep a special eye on our RR sailors as they deploy. Keep them safe and make them feel your love. Please keep your eyes on my sailor as he is far from home during our family crisis. Amen

Lord, keep our servicemen and women safe, whether they serve at home or overseas. Hold them in your loving hands and protect them as they protect us.

I am a graduate of George Washington Univ, class of '71. The First Lady spoke at this year's graduation for GW. In her very good speech, she praised the graduates for their dedication to making a difference in the world.

Our Sailors, who are graduating in their thousands from Boot Camp, A Schools, C Schools and Universities all over the world are also devoted to making this world a better and safer place. They rarely have cabinet members, presidents, vice presidents or others of this level speak directly to them in these events. The academies get the big speakers, but not the enlisted men and women.

We need to take satisfaction from our Sailors doing their jobs for the sake of doing it well and keeping us all as safe as they can. Our prayers of course go with them, and we need to think of them in their thousands as well as our particular loved ones.

As Memorial Day quickly approaches, let's keep all of our sons and daughters in prayer. May God be with each and every one of them.

Please Heavenly Father protect our sailors and their famlies. Take special care of the expectant mothers who will be having new babies while their husbands are serving their country. Bless each new baby and keep them safe. Amen

Amen to that, Scott, and yes, Cora, we need to pray for all those needs. Lord, show yourself faithful...we need You desparately.
