Navy Prayers: This is for anyone to post prayer request. We need a quiet place to go and leave prayer requests and to read them and pray for those requests. This is nondenominational. Please feel free to leave a prayer request or to take a moment and pray.

Prayers to you Tom and your family during this most difficult time.
My Father passed away this week at 90 years old. He was a Normandy Vet, a loving Husband of 57 years, and a Father to 6. He lived a long and full life. God blessed him with good health right to the last. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the end. May we all live such a life. Please keep him in your prayers....
Glad to lift them up to our Lord.
We sure could use some prayers over the next few weeks. Two young men, who are not ours by birth, but our sons just the same are both deployed. One left last month and the other this weekend. Both are in very stressful & dangerous situations and I need to know that others are praying for their protection. I'm the 'mom' should anything happen and I love these two like my own. I'm just feeling very ambivalent today on their behalf. Thanks.
This is 1LT Nicholas John Vogt, US Army. On November 12, 2011, he was severely injured by an IED while on a foot-patrol in Panjwaii, Afghanistan. We took these pictures this past weekend in the swimming pool at Walter Reed Medical Center. I asked Nicholas for his permission to post these images and this was his response: “The only thing that I want to pass on is this: Losing limbs is like losing a good friend. We wish we could still be with them, but it wasn't 'in the cards'. Then we get up, remember the good times, and thank God for whatever we have left. “
To Nicholas . . . and all of the men and women of The Unknown Soldier, I can't thank you enough for your courage and sacrifice . . . both on and off the battlefield. It is an honor to photograph you.(David Jay)
And I'd like to add to all those rescuers and those still on the job, strength, courage and wisdom. God wrap your arms around all those suffering. May they feel our Love and Yours. Amen
