Thank you for sharing the update on Matt. Prayers will continue for him, Nick, Heath and all our Sailors and military.

Quick update on Matt - while it's been an interesting few days - today was a pretty good day. He is determined to improve, has two more surgeries ahead of him and is working so hard to get out of this hospital as soon as he can. Another few days I guess. Then he will work on getting prepared for the additional surgeries, and maybe maybe hoping, he will get to STAY in the Navy rather than being Medically retired! Hard to believe, but yes, this is what we are being told. The MedBoard will be on hold, probably for the next 6-12 months, and then we will see.

Your prayers have truly helped us, and our sons prayers are being answered. My heart cannot translate into words.

Up-date on Matt and hid Mama singing God's praises.

Out of ICU later today. Thank you Lord for your comfort, guidance, and presence in our lives. Thank you for the incredible staff here at NMCSD and the outstanding support from our sons command. Thank you for no fever, I've been praying for that for so long and it just took me a few to realize you answered my prayer in the most appropriate way possible. Thank you for my beautiful, strong, son. Thank you for showing us that sometimes the path may change and we may not understand, YOU GOT this! You are an awesome God! Amen.

Praising God with you KathyMmom for that alert surgeon. We'll continue to pray for healing and for the pain to be controlled. God bless.

That is a blessing for KathyMmom.  Have kept Matt in my prayers daily.  All of our Sailors and military are in my daily prayers.

Comment by KathyMmom 5 minutes ago Good morning ladies. praise God, from whom all blessings flow. Attentive and intelligent surgeon realized my son was in an urgent state. They have removed his colon, which was basically dead. Fever is much improved, just working in pain control. Good blessed us with an amazing surgical team. Long road, but he is such a trooper. Thank you all and will update more later..

my Bible study this morning was on How to Pray, you have to Believe and Trust in God.....then learnd of Matt, now this popped up in my e-mail....

 

Heaven's Grocery Store
I was walking down life's highway a long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read, "Heaven's Grocery Store".
As I got a little closer the door came open wide,
and when I came to myself I was standing inside.
I saw a host of Angels, they were standing everywhere.
One handed me a blanket and said, "My Child shop with care".
Everything a Christian needs is in that grocery store,
and all you can't carry, come back the next day for more.

First, I got some Patience, Love was in the same row.
Further down was Understanding, needed everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisdom, a bag or two of Faith,
I just couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, it was all over the place.
I stopped to get some Strength and Courage to help me run this race,
but then my blanket was getting full, and I remembered I needed Grace.

I didn't forget Salvation, which like the others was free,
so I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me.
Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill,
for I thought I had everything to do my master's will.
As I went up the aisle, I saw Prayer and had to put it in,
for I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.
Peace and Joy were plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
Song and Praises were hanging near, so I just helped myself.

Then I said to the Angel, "How much do I owe"?
The Angel smiled and said, "Just take them everywhere you go."
Again, I politely asked "How much do I really owe?"
The Angel smiled again and said, "My Child, Jesus Paid Your Bill A Long Time Ago."

Matt went into emergency surgery last night (@6?)  I have heard nothing.  there is another N4M in the area and offered to help in Anyway, drive family etc....so hoping I hear something soon. will keep you posted as best I can.

Thank you All for joining our hands, minds and hearts.  I believe God listens and answers prayers. Please stay with me in Prayer today(until we hear something) for the doctors, staff, family and Matt.
