Robin, thank you so much for updating us on all these young men.  Matt's situation is so shocking.  I am not "green" by any means and have seen things in my 50 years that have taught me what evil lives on the world, but the attack on Matt just floored me.  My prayers will continue for these young men and their families.  Even though I can't personally do more, I don't underestimate the power of the prayers I and others send up.  That way I don't feel helpless.

Jose I am so excited for you and your son.  It will be a tough 8 weeks but he'll come out an even better man than when he went in.  Mine did, and I can't be more proud of him, his choice to join, and how he is pursuing his career.  We'll be hearing the same from you and we will all take pride in him.  Just as we do all of the men and women that comprise our US miitary.

fishdad Thank you for the update on Matt, Heath, and Nick.  I am praying for these men and their families as they walk this unplanned, unscheduled, journey in their lives.  May the Lord give you all strength and resolve to see it through to the end.  Blessings to each of you!

Jose, I am praying for you and your family as well.  The next 8 weeks will be difficult, but so worth it when you get to go to graduation.

You and your son will be in our prayers Jose. Praying for strength for all of you.

April,

Matt is home from the hospital. He has many more surgeries ahead of him. We're not sure yet whether he'll need an upper jaw transplant or not. We're praying for healing both physically and emotionally. It's really taken it's toll on everyone. It's hard to understand how a group of people can do something like this and we're praying that they find them.

The last I heard on Nick (and it's been a while) he had had surgery for a wound on his back side that wasn't healing and he was dealing with living on a cart, on his stomach. I'll see if I can find out anything else so I can let you know.

Concerning Heath, he was told that he'd have orders last week to  come State Side in order to receive the medical care he's been waiting for, for a year now; however they told him this week that it will take several more appointments with doctors over there and several more months of paper work before that can happen. Somebody dropped the ball on getting his paperwork done over there. We're frustrated because he is still dealing with pain daily and we worry about the long term affects of this all. But there is nothing that we can do but wait for the Navy to do what it needs to do. We'd appreciate your prayers for him as well April. Thank you so much for asking about him.

We hope that everyone and their Sailors are doing well. You all remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Robin
