Our prayers and deepest condolences go out to the families of these two aircrew sailors...

Blondie, thanks for the update on Nick. What a strong individual he is. I'm prayin' for you guys today.  How do I find you on FB? I would like to see the video...

o Nick is doing well with his rehab these days. He is getting stronger in body and mind. He is still very emotionally strong and focused on moving ahead with his rehabilitation. Working hard through the day and relaxing in the evenings with TV, video games, crossword puzzles and some book reading. The stubborn sores on his backside have prevented prosthetic rehab from beginning. (Its also keeping him out of the pool; he is really looking forward to swimming again.) These wounds have been a persistant problem for quite a while. The medical staff is now preparing to use a surgical procedure to push the wounds toward healing. (Steve)

I do have a video on my FB page and don't know how to transfer it here. (will keep trying)

hope everyone's sailors are doing well.  praying daily

"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." - Isaiah 40:31

Forgive Me, Lord
Forgive me, Lord, when I overlook ---
The beauty of a sunset
The beauty in a human soul
The beauty all around me.

Forgive me, Lord, when I don't appreciate ---
The goodness which You show me
The goodness found in others
The goodness of Your world itself.

Forgive me, Lord, when I ignore ---
The signals that You send me
The signs and wonders that You show me
The life in Christ I have.

Forgive me, Lord, when I depend ---
Upon myself instead of You
Upon others instead of Christ
Upon opinions instead of Spirit.

Forgive me, Lord, when I hide in fear ---
From those You choose to love me
From those You send to help me
From those who come in Your Name.

Let me recognize in everything ---
Your Hand at work through human hands
Your Love at work through human hearts
Your Will at work through human deeds.

Lord, as I go forward in the life You have for me
Let me always remember that FORGIVENESS is the key
To unlock all the prison doors, and set the captives free
And help me to do likewise - As You have forgiven me.

Prayers continue for Heath and for Nick, and all who come seeking them.  I cannot believe its been a year for Heath and his health issues.  Its always hard to understand the path we are on at times, but it is faith that keeps us going, knowing God's plan is being played out.

Any word on Nick?

fishdad  I don't know the details of Heath's health issues, but I am praying for everything to fall in place for him so he can get home.  I am praying for you as well, for strength, faith, hope, and comfort during the difficult times.  I'm sorry your familiy is having to walk the journey you are on.  My only encouragement for you is God promises to provide honey from the rocks that our in our life's pathway.  I pray that you and your family taste the sweetness of that honey during this time.

Yes, Forrest, provident indeed. God has a way of slowing us down at exactly the right moments. So glad to hear that your son is sleeping better. We had heard about the Sailor lost on the GW. So very sad. From what we were told, he hadn't been in Japan too terribly long. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Blondie, so glad to hear that your Sailor is doing well. Is she enjoying State Side living? She remains in our prayers as well.

Heath is doing well considering everything. Very anxious to get State Side. He still has several medical issues that cannot be dealt with in Japan and he is ready to get things taken care of so he can get back on his feet. His paper work has been very slow in being processed. I must admit to feeling a wee bit discouraged at times. We do our best not to show that to him, but rather to encourage him to trust in the Lords will and His timing. It's just been a very, very long 18 months. It will be a year, this coming Sunday that we received the call that he was critical and that I needed to get to Japan ASAP. Perhaps that is why we are all feeling a bit restless these days. However, we do want to thank you all so very much. Words really cannot express the gratitude that we have in our hearts for all of the prayers, encouragement and support that you all have offered us through this difficult time.

Hope all of you, and all of your Sailors are doing well.

God bless,

Robin

We had storms in our area yesterday and many homes in my neighborhood had power outages, but my electricity never went off.  Well, around 6:50 pm I went to light three candles for a memorial to Airman Martinez.  About five minutes later MY electricity went out, probably two hours after the storm had passed through.  The three candles burned as the only source of light in my house for 45 minutes as my wife and I lifted up the Martinez family in prayer, along with the sailors aboard the Washington, and the Navy family as a whole.  My wife and I both thought that time was providential.

The Will of God
Remember. The Will of God will never take you...
Where the grace of God cannot keep you,
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you...
Where the spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
Where the army of God cannot protect you.

The will of God will never take you...
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercy of God cannot sustain you,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you...
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.
