We could use your prayers today. Heath found out last night that the Navy has decided to separate him. It would be an honorable medical discharge. He really wants to be able to finish out his contract and there are also some medical issues from last year that haven't been addressed yet. He has a meeting tonight at 9:30 our time (EST). We'd really appreciate your prayers for him and for us as well, that we would be able to give him wise council. All he has ever wanted was to be in the Navy. This has been a very hard couple of days. Thanks everyone.

Please join me in Prayer that Nick is feeling better soon!

Things didn't go as planned today. Nick was scheduled to be discharged as an out-patient but is still in the hospital as an in-patient due to some stomach pain. It is most likely something rather minor but it is best to make sure before moving to the apartment. Hoping for a better day tomorrow. (Steve)

Blondie,

God bless your daughter. We're so glad that she is HOME! Enjoy every moment with her.

clemmis, any news?

fishdad, great news!  will keep him in our prayers that the Navy "sees" how dedicated he is and what a asset he is to them.

news on Nick:

Moving on to the next phase today. Nick is moving from Richmond VA hospital to Walter Reed to begin the long process of amputation therapy. The work done by the staff at Richmond was exceptional and we are very grateful. It is now time to start the process of fitting Nick on to some prosthetic legs. This work will be long and difficult but he will get it done. He will join many other heros at Walter Reed which are working on using prothetics. These guys are very inspirational to be around. Please keep these guys in your prayers that they may maintain the courage and stamina to achieve complete success. (Steve)

Thanks fishdad and all who has prayed with me and for my daughter it is such a Joy to have her home for a few days.  So very busy (and tired, lol)  lots of stories....had an escort on international flight. She said mom as we waited to leave the plane, I couldn't help but go to the window and watch.....she said,  "I cried and cried, you can't believe how many people didn't know what that meant....I cried for so many reasons...for that family, for all those I've lost.... and then it hit me, how many times that could have been my family down there!  and so I cried some more for you."  what pained her the most was she could not reveal who/what she was. reality check she is so grateful to be back!  then her next flight was delayed she said the pilot came over the loud speaker and informed them while going throgh his check list he found that engine 2 had 4 rivets missing and in his opinion that was to many, she said 1 is too many!  lol  so many stories soo many happenings.  just wanted to check in and let you know she made it home here saturday afternoon/night, she looks good.  we are having a ball.  and Yes, I'm sharing after all she's going to be Alot closer and I get to go with her for 10 days and house hunt!  One happy Mama here.

Prayers for all our you and your families.

Clemmis,

We're in very sincere prayer for your daughter and grandchild. Please keep us updated. If she does get transferred to Japan, I may be able to connect her with someone who can be of some encouragement...depending on which base in Japan.

Blondie,

Praising God with you and your daughter!! So, so, so very excited that she is home.

And for everyone....we got a Skype call from Heath the other day. He called to introduce us to...HIS FIANCEE!!!!! Huge surprise!

He has an appointment on June 4 to determine whether the Navy will be opting for a medical discharge for him. He really wants to stay in and complete his commitment. Please keep him in your prayers.

Hope that you all have a wonderful Memorial Day. We've already 'bumped into' three of our Troops this weekend and were very pleased to be able to thank them for their service and sacrifice. The same applies to all of you as well!

God bless!

Clemmis I have put your daughter in my prayers.  I will alert my niece and nephew that a fellow Naval person is there in Guam in distress.  Maybe they can go see her and comfort her.

Sorry to hear that, Prayers going up!

I woke up to this message:

After 1 bus trip, 2 car rides, 3 flights, 26 hours of travel and 15 timezones I almost cried when the stewardess said welcome home. Can't believe i'm finally back in Ohio!
(Yes, I cried)

My daughter is in Gaum in preterm labor at 27 weeks...She is scared and so far away from her family on the east coast. If they can stop the labor she will be transported to Japan for bed rest until the bay is born. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.
