Hi Blondie,

We did find Sacred Heart, but didn't find anyone around while we were there. Thanks for the link. We're hoping to stop by again on our way home. We'll have to see how things go. While working yesterday, a miscalculation was made by someone cutting down a tree, it landed on me and put me in the hospital. My head, back and shoulder were pretty banged up, nothing that some staples, meds and rest won't help. Just not sure about traveling yet. Car rides are making me woozy so I'm not sure how the trip home will be. If I'm doing better, I'll let you know and perhaps we can meet.

I'm so happy that you got to talk with your girl and that she is coming state side!!! I'm excited for you! You all have more than earned the right to spend some time with her. I'll be praying for a smooth transition.

Take care. We'll talk soon,

Robin

• Today was a real good day! Nick gets rid of the trache! Then he brought his A-game to physical therapy. (turned himself over, nearly lifted himself off the bed by himself with his trapeze, finished with 5 pushups - and only used minor cuss words.) I had a lunch partner in the cafeteria - Nick. He did more mental assessment work. There is significant rehab needed but things are very encouraging considering the severity of the original injury. My favorite part of the day - sharing a HB and FF supper and watching him truly enjoy eating it. God truly loves us! (Steve)

fishdad, I just realized you said you were in Crestline.  Tho that is Nick's address, it's rural, he does not live in Crestline!  then I realized you probably went to St. Joe's Church, it's a twin/sister Church......you have to understand small town living not even a town actually a village.  here's a web site.....that is why I asked about Bethlahem.

• More recovery and rehab for Nick. He is getting healthier and stronger by the day. His biggest complaint is pain in his backside and leg areas. Yesterday was the first assessment of his mental condition. It was a series of questions and activities. The results of the test will help determine the type of rehab needed for his brain injury. Today looks to be a milestone day. The trache is suppose to be taken out this morning. Yeah! (Steve)

definately let us know.  and thank you for all that you do.  many disasters around....so sad.  we stepped up the prayers for Heath, if you could send me his address now and I'll send him some encouragement.

my sailor is still out on deployment, (re-enlisting)  she did call this past sunday night, what a JOY to hear her voice!  ship to shore so not the best but it'll do until ?????  this summer she will be stateside, narrowing down places to live etc....rying to get a hotel for a week out there, we are going with her to look at a few and do the financing.  she needs to get her drivers license and buy a car......so much to do, so little time!  starting to get excited!

Thanks Robin, Gods blessings on you and yours.

Hi Blondie. We were in Crestline. We did make it out to the church, we stopped in the parking lot and said a prayer for Nick and his family. We are here until at least Friday. It's humbling to see the devastation here. The town of Henryville is just devastated. We'd love to meet you. If we go home via Bethlem, I'll be sure to let you know ahead of time and we can chat. Thanks for keeping Heath in your prayers. He's still having some problems from the infection that he had and they are talking about possibly doing another knee surgery. He's feeling a bit discouraged, so the prayers are very much appreciated. Hope your Sailor is doing well. When does she get State Side?

God bless. Have a good week.

Robin

(1 Cor 15:57 NKJV) But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Be encouraged today. Know that no matter what you're going through, there will be victory!

We don't always know how or when the victory will come, but it will come.

We don't always know what that victory will look like, but God will give us victory.

If you're going through a trial or a struggle today, we call forth the victory in the name of Jesus!

Lift up your head and look to the One who gives life. He is our sustainer, our provider and our redeemer. There is nothing too big for Him to handle.

No matter what's standing in front of you right now and no matter how difficult your circumstances are right now, stand knowing that God has the final word.

OH fishdad wish i'd known, I would have given you our phone number.  would have loved to meet up with you and showed you around.  Is that  one beautiful Church of what?  I can't believe no one "knew" him. were you in Crestline or Shelby? It couldn't have been Bethlahem.  His grandparents live on either side of the Church.  are you in Indiana now? for how long?

definately Prayers for Heath, will get my Prayer Warriors on it.  He is still remembered in our 6pm. prayers for sick/injured military.

Blondie,

We are on our way to Henryville, Indiana to help Samaritans Purse with the tornado clean up and realized that we were passing by Nick's hometown. So, we stopped by. Didn't meet up with anyone who knew him personally (yes, we asked), but we did get to see his church and we spent some time in prayer for him and his family. He has a great hometown. Yellow ribbons everywhere. Can't wait until he gets to go back home to that small town.

We'd appreciate prayers for Heath. More intestinal problems from the strep infection incident as well as being informed that he may require yet another surgery on his knee. He's feeling a bit discouraged. He's been so eager to get back on a ship.

Hope everyones had a great St. Paddy's day.
