The Sin of Lying
This is a good one. Read it and then think about it :)
A minister told his congregation, "Next week I plan to preach about the sin of lying. To help you understand my sermon, I want you all to read Mark 17."
The following Sunday, as he prepared to deliver his sermon, the minister asked for a show of hands. He wanted to know how many had read Mark 17. Every hand went up.
The minister smiled and said, "Mark has only sixteen chapters. I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of lying."
son's bride and sister made it home safely and o time. His MIL came through surgery well. thanks
Whatever your life's pursuit -- art, poetry, sculpture, music, whatever your occupation may be -- you can be as spiritual as clergy, always living a life of praise.

Today was just an OK day for Nick, I guess. Nothing bad really happened but nothing good happened either. He has been exhausted for the last couple of days, and there has been no chance of getting off the vent, taking the swallow test or taking a wheelchair ride (which bums all of us out . . . but mostly him). The lungs continue to be his biggest obstacle. The left one is still partially collapsed and the doctors are trying everything to get it to inflate.

Thanks Fishdad, for staying up on Nick, our benefit for him Sunday was a big hit! ran out of cooked pork chops by noon! takes awhile to cook them. lol I tired to tell those old men (LOL) but everyone stuck around and bought 50/50 tickets and visited our bake sale......maybe that was their Idea. to be fair it was very cold 9 degrees with wind chills below zero, they were having trouble keeping the fire going.....I'll try to get a report for you all later/
Nick is working harder these last couple days. He has been very sleepy. The med team is looking at possible causes. His breathing has been more difficult and a procedure was done today that should make it more comfortable. His mood (when awake) has been good and he still is capable of making us smile every now and then. Popsicles are still very desirable (and Mother is still the Popsicle goddess). We are enjoying a visit from Sheila's Dad and Mom. We will continue to ask Jesus to bless Nick with healing of strong breathing and to clean his body of infection. (Steve)
LOL fishdad, but of course the mom does better!!!! Your news everyday of Nick is so inspiring. We are all pulling for him and his recovery.
