Status Update
By Nick Vogt Family
Today's post from Nick's dad, Steve.....No surgeries today for Nick. He is running a little short on sleep due to all of the staff and machines that are part of his recovery. I think he may get some decent sleep tonight because some of the machines will not be used tonight. He has surgery again tomorrow for more work on his wounds. The doctors that worked on his wounds last time said that their condition looks good but they are not able to close them yet because there is still infection present. At this point the doctors are very pleased with how well he is recovering from the brain surgery. We are encouraged that the damage to the brain may be small and substantial recovery may be possible.
Nick, although making improvement, is still very sick. His visitation is very restricted (like no one). Hopefully in a couple weeks his condition will be good enough for visitors. Please keep praying for him and his medical staff. Your prayers are working! PS: We are getting your cards and appreciate every one. There are 100's of them. Thanks!) - Steve.

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.

Post from Nick's dad, Steve.....Nick had a good day in surgery today. The doctors are winning the fight against the infections and hope to have the wounds closed by next week. His brain surgery results remained stable today. He graced us with several smiles today too. (Steve)

Singing God's Praises and thanking you all for your continued prayers.

from Nick's parents....... Good news for Nick. He is awake and communicating with us and the staff (we`re still lip reading). His doctors are excited. Nick goes to another surgery today to work on his wounds. He is staying strong.

God is hearing their prayers and ours.  Nick's road to recovery may be a long one, but he is not alone.  Not only are his family and friends rallying around him, but the Great Healer, God of all, is with him.  Peace to Nick and his family

Today post Nick's dad, Steve.... Nick`s recovery has gotten more difficult. The last couple days we have noticed a difference in his behavior and thought it was due to the pain medication that he was on. It turns out that a blood clot had formed in his brain and was causing the problem. He went into emergency surgery last night and the clot was removed. This latest injury had me praying hard for Nick and to give us strength against falling into dispair. Within an hour of my prayer for strength we had a visitor, a friend of Nick`s who happened to be here for other business, that had this type injury a while back and looks great. My prayer was answered again. I now see that this injury can also be over come. Thanks for your support and please continue your prayers. (Steve)

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore" - Revelation 21:4

Hi, Darla! There are some moments and events in life that are so moving, so heartbreaking, and even so joyous that all you can do is cry. We have a few videos today that fit that description. We hope they touch your heart and renew your spirit. Never forget that God still reigns today and He is always in control!

from Nick's sister, Olivia......If you are reading this please say a prayer for my brother.

this scared me for some reason, he was suppose to be back in surgery this morning.  I usually don't have this reaction or fear, so PLEASE, PLEASE stop what you are doing and say a Prayer for Nick!
