NORFOLK – The commanding officer of Norfolk-based USS Harry S. Truman has died. The Navy said Wednesday that Captain Tushar Tembe collapsed as he was leaving the carrier at Norfolk Naval Shipyard and died at the hospital. “We offer our sincere condolences to Capt. Thanks be to God for healing Heath and giving them a month of Joy.  Will continue to pray for safe travels and good health.

fishdad, what good news you have had to share with us!!!!!  Prayers are a powerful thing, and God hears us everytime!!!!  Glad he got in some hunting and so successful too.  Hope everything else goes well for him, will continue to pray for him

 

Please keep my work family in your prayers; Abilene Christian University Ag students on their way to do annual mission work at Medina Children's Home, were in a horrible bus crash and one of our precious students died.  Many more are still in the hospital with critical injuries.  They are not military, but they are my family.  Please lift them up.  You would not believe the grace and faith of our lost student's mother...Her immediate response was concern for the trooper who found her daughter and then the driver of the bus.

We took Heath to the airport this morning. He should be back on the base by sometime tomorrow morning. Prayers for safe travel are appreciated. We are so thankful for the month that we got to spend with him. He went back at a much healthier weight and he really enjoyed his time at home. He was blessed to bag an 8pt. buck and on his last day at home, he and his dad got their limit on Pennsylvania pheasant....made him happy, and it made us happy to see the smile on his face. We just want to thank you all, once again, for all of the prayers on our behalf. God bless.
