that is exactly right Tom...Eric talks about the discrimination, the horrendous prices ($10/gallon milk for example), the terrible traffic, etc..  It's pretty, but he liked Virgina far better.....

Wow, I am surprised to hear that, but not having been stationed or visited Hawaii only have others experience. I have two retired Navy buds near me and they both enjoyed their tours, of course that was @ 5 years ago. Our son likes the squadron and the base.. even if a Marine base and is an active outdoors adventurer.

my son has been stationed in Hawaii for a little over two years now and absolutely hates every minute of it.......he and wife are determined to leave as soon as possible......

Thanks Andrew, He really does enjoy Hawaii but has found out the locals in Japan were more friendly than Hawaii. Also recent bad experience with Cycle City Harley dealer after $$ repairs.

He does spend a lot of time hiking and swimming and enjoying it.

Just posted a Pic of Daughter Valerie welcoming home her husband 1st Lt. Kelsey Gibson after a year in Afghanistan.  She has just recently graduated from TBS as a 2nd Lt. and now stationed at Camp Pendleton with her husband!
