OH what wonderful news EG & Cindy!!! Be sure to give him extra hugs from the rest of us :). My son is on liberty but I guess he is hanging out in Chicago with friends to find some 4th celebrations. God Bless, Michele :)

Good News all . . .My son emailed me and told me that he will be transferred to Pensacola for more AT training in about a month (or more) from Great Lakes. Right now he is learning circuit boards which from the course layout Kevin posted would be the first part of his training. Kevin can you explain to me how the ratings work? Does their schooling/training have something to do with it?

Hi guys, just an invite for all aviation-related folks to come over and join the "Airdales" group. Most of the trainees at P'cola are aviation, so you should qualify!
One question- I read somewhere that the AT A school building was destoyed during Katrina, and that they are doing their training in Great Lakes. Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks! Kevin

Well it looks like our sailors are starting to get settled in. From what Evan tells us they are getting a little free time now. The longer they are there I'm sure the more liberty's they will get. Evan thinks that he will be able to come home for the 4th of July weekend. We hope so but I'm really not sure if they will let him leave to come home after such a short time of being there. If not we will plan to go visit soon. I'll talk to ya'll later

My guess on the hurricane is that their will be one their within a month. Just a part of the beach. It's not that bad unless we have another Katrina. That one hurt. I am 250 miles from the coast and you would not beleive the damage we had here. On the jellyfish. They do sting but their are remedies to help. It's really not that bad. Tell him to hook up with my son and he will teach him how to be a beach bum.
